The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly issued the "International Cooperation Plan for Renewable Energy and New Energy Resources" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") yesterday, which brought good news to Chinese energy companies. China's foreign oil dependence has increased from 42% in 2004 to 47% in 2006. The development of renewable energy and new energy is a general trend.
The “plan†has defined five key supporting areas such as Solar Power and solar building integration, Wind Power generation, and natural gas hydrate development. It also proposes a “going out†strategy and encourages Chinese companies, R&D institutions and universities to go global and actively participate in domestic and international Large-scale renewable energy and new energy cooperation projects, and cooperation in the establishment of R & D centers or bases at home and abroad, while promoting the technology transfer from developed countries to developing countries and developing countries. China will also attract large international energy companies and private capital to invest in China's new energy sector.
