FAN3850x Series Digital Microphone Preamplifiers Launched

Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation expands the portfolio of high-performance analog mobile audio devices and introduces the FAN3850x series of digital microphone preamplifiers, including 16dB or 19dB gain FAN3850A and 15dB gain FAN3850T with temperature compensation.

Features and Benefits:

· The FAN3850A is available in 16dB and 19dB gain models.

The FAN3850T has a 15dB gain and has an integrated negative temperature coefficient to compensate for the ECM positive temperature coefficient to obtain a flat sensitivity response over the entire temperature range.

The preamplifier accepts signals from the ECM and drives an oversampling sigmadelta analog-to-digital converter to output a pulse density modulation (PDM) data stream.
