According to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, in March this year, the number of new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU was 186,469, an increase of 8.8% from March 2009, but a 27.3% decrease from the level of March 2008 prior to the financial crisis. . In the first quarter of this year, the number of new commercial vehicle registrations in Europe was 431,454, a decrease of 1.3% compared with the same period in 2009.
From the perspective of Figure 1, from the beginning of each month of 2009 to March this year, the growth rate of the registration of new vehicles for commercial vehicles in the EU has gradually increased, and the market recovery trend is obvious.
France, UK: EU's largest commercial vehicle market
In the first quarter of this year, among the EU countries, the 10 countries with the highest registrations for new commercial vehicle vehicles were France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden, and the countries that registered more than 100,000 vehicles were only In France, only France, Britain, Italy and Germany registered more than 50,000 vehicles. In March of this year, the EU countries with more than 10,000 new commercial vehicle registrations were only France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain. France and the United Kingdom registered only more than 40,000 vehicles.
Ireland, Italy: EU's fastest growing commercial vehicle market
In the first quarter of this year, there were only 9 EU countries with positive growth in the registration of new commercial vehicle vehicles. They were ranked in order of growth rate: Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Greece, France, and Slovenia. The number of new commercial vehicle registrations in Germany fell slightly by 1.0%. The Czech Republic and Romania had the largest declines, with a drop of 67.9% and 75.2%, respectively.
In March of this year, there were positive growth in registrations of new commercial vehicle vehicles in 12 countries in the EU. The order of growth rate was: Ireland, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Greece, Portugal, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Austria.
