Anti-moisture and anti-fog protection throughout the transportation sector

Since December, haze has continued to cover northern and eastern China, affecting highways and water transportation. The local transportation departments take effective measures to adapt to local conditions and prevent the haze and fog from flowing.

The Chongqing Communications Department has strengthened communication and coordination with meteorological, firefighting, and emergency management departments, timely issued information on fog, increased patrols on key sections, and strengthened highway entrance safety inspections.

The transportation and transportation departments in Hubei stepped up their anti-fog and haze drills. Once emergencies emerged, the preplans were promptly launched, information collection channels were expanded, and coordination with high-speed traffic police and other departments was strengthened.

In Shanghai, due to poor visibility, a large number of ships, especially container liners, faced delays and hundreds of ships were moored away from fog. The Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration organizes and guides ships to be ported out of Hong Kong. It monitors the entire process and handles ship collision accidents in a timely manner to ensure normal navigation.

In Jiangsu, the maritime department promptly initiated the fog and day warning pre-control program. No channel blockage occurred in the Xuzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, and the vessels in the area were well-ordered.
