TDG sludge treatment integrated technology can be roughly divided into two modules: sludge disc drying module and sludge incineration module. According to local sludge disposal status and local requirements, these two modules can be constructed separately or in combination.
Incineration, building materials use and other disposal methods require sludge moisture content of 30% to 40%, then the sludge must be heat dried. One of the main reasons for the failure of some sludge disposal projects in the country is that the sludge dryer is not closed. TDG employs a disc dryer , which has been successfully used in Japan, South Korea and Europe for more than 20 years and has been continuously improved to provide superior performance. The sludge has wide adaptability, high stability, high efficiency, and low energy consumption. It is the sludge drying technology recommended by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The heat source of the disc dryer can be low grade steam, heat transfer oil, etc. The drying process is fully enclosed and negative pressure is taken to ensure excellent environmental performance. The disc dryer can directly dry the sludge with a water content of 80%. To reduce the operating cost, the sludge from the previous module can also be dried. The dried sludge is in the form of small pellets of 0 to 5 mm in size, and has a caloric value of about 1000 to 2000 kcal, which has a certain economic value and is very convenient for further disposal.

TDG incineration technology adopts the most popular fluidized bed incineration technology in the world. The international market share of sludge incineration technology is about 60-70%. The overall production process of the technical transformation project is as follows: After the sludge is transported to the factory area by airtight vehicles, it is first dried, then sent to the front fuel bunker through the conveying device, and fed into the furnace for combustion by the feed pipe in front of the boiler. At the same time when the sludge is fed into the incinerator, a part of auxiliary fuel coal is also fed into the incinerator to ensure that the temperature in the furnace is maintained above 850°C. After burning, the heat energy released by the sludge and coal is absorbed by the steam, converted into heat energy of the steam, and partly supplied to the heat users, and partly used for sludge drying. The waste gas produced during the drying process of the sludge is condensed and then discharged into the incinerator for incineration as a secondary air. The sludge left behind by the sludge and coal incineration is discharged through the slag cooler. The incineration flue gas is treated by the flue gas purification system and discharged through a 150 m high chimney. At present, three disc-type sludge drying equipments have been delivered and are expected to be commissioned in early 2010.
